ARCTIC EDGE 24: New York Air National Guard
New York Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Eric Junquera marshals a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) off of a C-130 Hercules aircraft in support of Arctic Edge 24 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, Feb. 24, 2024. Special Operations Command North deployed more than 400 joint and allied Special Operations Forces across the pan-Arctic region during Arctic Edge 24 to hone SOF’s ability to disrupt irregular and conventional threats, erode competitors’ confidence to hold the North American Arctic at risk, and employ layered defense of the Homeland.
