The exercise served as a refresher for the Marines on how to perform basic AAV operations. The training focused on amphibious training and the ability to splash off ship and drive to shore. The Reserve Marines also focused on interoperability with the Navy, using their Maritime Prepositioning Ship to launch the AAVs.

The Marines splashed off the back of the USNS SEAY (T-AKR-302), a Maritime Prepositioning Ship, then moved the assault vehicle ashore. The AAVs were then taken to the wash rack where the Marines cleaned and made sure they were still in good working order.
