Lt. Gen. Steven A. Hummer, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, addresses his noncommissioned officers about the integral role the Reserves play in the structure of the Marine Corps, at the Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, June 11. Hummer is preparing to transition to deputy commander of military operations for U.S. Africa Command.
