The Zulu grand marshal announces the arrival of the Zulu king and queen during the Lundi Gras festival in New Orleans, March 3, 2014. The tale behind the history of Zulu begins with a group of laborers who went to see a comedy skit called “There Never Was and Never Will Be a King Like Me” about the Zulu tribe. The group made their first Mardi Gras appearance in 1909. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Mackenzie Schlueter/Released)
