1st Sgt. James Davis, company first sergeant for 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participates in a battle streamer re-dedication ceremony, Oct. 16, 2016. Established in November of 1942, 1/23 has participated in numerous campaigns. With the ceremony, 1/23 reflects on its history and passes on its lineage to the younger Marines in the battalion.
