Service members from the San Francisco Bay Area stand at attention during the Marines Hymn, performed by the 1st Marine Division Band at half-time of the San Francisco 49ers’ game against the New Orleans Saints at Levi’s Stadium, Nov. 6, 2016. The Centennial of the Marine Forces Reserve was recognized as part of the National Football League’s “Salute to Service” campaign. Today, approximately 500 Reserve Marines are providing fully integrated operational support to Fleet and Combatant Commanders around the world.
