ADAZI, Latvia – Vice Adm. Christopher Grady, the Commander of Naval Striking and Support Forces, speaks to the media about the beach landing in Ventspils, Latvia, during Exercise Saber Strike and Baltic Operations 17, June 6, 2017. Marines from Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve and 4th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company executed the beach assault. The purpose of Strike Force NATO is to deliver a rapidly deployable and scalable headquarters capable of planning and executing full-spectrum joint maritime operations to provide assurance, deterrence, and collective defense for the Alliance.
