Age 23, Racine, Wisconsin Cpl. Nelson died while conducting combat operations in the Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was attached to Regimental Combat Team 1, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). He died on April 14, 2008.
