Poole, an optics technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 453, 4th Marine Logistics Group, performs a test flight with a drone before continuing three dimensional printing production near the innovation cell located within the Reserve Marine's Home Training Center in San Jose, Calif., Feb. 9, 2019. While drone technology was originally intended for mostly military applications, their use is rapidly expanding to commercial, scientific, recreational, agricultural and other applications, such as policing, peacekeeping, surveillance, product deliveries and aerial photography.
