U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Luis Alicea, left, a ground support equipment mechanic, acts as an opponent for Staff Sgt. Zachary Hilko, an aviation supply chief, both with Marine Aircraft Group 49, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, while he executes a counter utilizing a mokuju bayonet trainer during Martial Arts Instructor Course 1-19 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans on May 22, 2019. Marines use mokujus during martial arts training to simulate using a rifle with a bayonet in combat.
