U.S. Marines with Detachment D Company, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, unload equipment from a sled, Jim Creek, Alaska, Nov. 19, 2024. The Marines unloaded the sled while conducting cold-weather safety training to prepare for upcoming Toys for Tots events in December. The Marines’ participation in this training prepares them to operate in harsh-weather conditions above the arctic circle, familiarizing themselves with survival techniques, snowmobile operation and the daily tasks they will conduct during the Toys for Tots mission.
