Curtis, color sergeant, Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South, and retired Col. Jason E. Curtis received the Mayor of New Orleans Commendation Award for his service to the community. As color sergeant, he has rendered honors at more than 250 events across the greater New Orleans area.
