Capt. Scott Meehan (3rd from left), a UH-1N Huey helicopter pilot, stands with his flight crew on an expeditionary airfield at Forward Operating Base Salerno here March 6, 2004. Detachments from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, a reserve unit based out of Atlanta, Ga., Belle Chasse, La., and Johnstown, Pa., have deployed several times in the past eight years in support of overseas contingency operations. Meehan, now a lieutenant colonel in the Active Reserve program, currently works in the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing Operations department in New Orleans.
