Sgt. Edwin Santos, an administrative clerk with Marine Forces Reserve Headquarters, wipes graffiti off a public sign in the French Quarter area of New Orleans June 14, 2010. Santos and a group of Marines volunteered to help Vieux Carre Graffiti Abatement Program with cleaning up graffiti on public property in the French Quarter. VC-GAP assembled approximately 50 volunteers to help with removing graffiti from the area. The volunteers split into groups and headed to assigned areas to clean the graffiti. VC-GAP wants to protect historic areas in the community.
