Lt. Gen. Steven A. Hummer, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, and Navy Rear Adm. Anne Clair Phillips, commander of Expeditionary Strike Group Two, salute the national colors during the Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off, April 20, 2012. The cook-off was held as part of the War of 1812 Commemoration. New Orleans will serve as the inaugural city in a three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner. The Marine Corps’ role in this event reinforces its naval character, showcases the Navy-Marine Corps team and highlights the military’s enduring relationship with the city of New Orleans.
