Combat Lifesaver Course recertification trainer Petty Officer 2nd Class Henry Ortiz, a corpsman with 4th Medical Bn. and a native of Phoenix, Ariz., demonstrates how a nasopharyngeal opens a blocked airway with the help of Lance Cpl. Justin Bass. Bass is an ambulance driver from Inverness, Fla., attached to 4th Medical Bn. Javelin Thrust is an annual large-scale exercise here which allows active and reserve Marines and sailors from 38 different states to train together as a seamless Marine Air Ground Task Force.
