ARCTIC EDGE 2024: MACS-24 Marines deploy AN/TPS-80

U.S. Marines with Marine Air Control Squadron (MACS) 24 Marine Air Control Group 48, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, deploy an AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR (Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar) in preparation of Exercise Arctic Edge in Fort Greely, Alaska, Feb. 10, 2024. The G/ATOR provides air task-oriented radar picture and command and control function in an Arctic Environment. ARCTIC EDGE 2024 (AE24) is a U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise demonstrating the U.S. military's capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness, and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the Arctic region.
