About

Exercise Northern Strike is a military readiness event hosted annually at Michigan National Guard facilities. With approximately 5,000 participating Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors, Northern Strike is one of the largest reserve component exercises supported by the U.S. military. The mission is to exercise participating units’ full-spectrum of capabilities through realistic, cost-effective joint fires training in an adaptable environment, with an emphasis on joint and coalition force cooperation.

Marines Help College Students Plan Ahead During Career Readiness Day
College students from the New Orleans Area participate in Marine Corps exercises during a Career Readiness Day function at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans, Feb. 19, 2016. The event took place in conjunction with the United Negro College Fund National Alumni and National Pre-Alumni Council Leadership Conference. The event provides college students with sessions, workshops and job offers with select organizations and leaders such as the 6th Marine Corps Recruiting District, Recruiting Station Baton Rouge.
