Exercise Northern Strike is a military readiness event hosted annually at Michigan National Guard facilities. With approximately 5,000 participating Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and Sailors, Northern Strike is one of the largest reserve component exercises supported by the U.S. military. The mission is to exercise participating units’ full-spectrum of capabilities through realistic, cost-effective joint fires training in an adaptable environment, with an emphasis on joint and coalition force cooperation.

UNITAS 2023: Squad Competition

Colombian marines record the scores for the eighth squad competition event during UNITAS LXIV at Escuela de Formación de Infantería Marina Coveñas in Coveñas, Colombia, July 16, 2023. The eighth squad competition event was the last event and consisted of a test of shooting skills. UNITAS is the world's longest-running annual multinational maritime exercise that focuses on enhancing interoperability among multiple nations and joint forces during littoral and amphibious operations in order to build on existing regional partnerships and create new enduring relationships that promote peace, stability and prosperity in the U.S. Southern Command’s area of responsibility.
