DEMOBILIZATION PROCESS:
The demobilization process takes up to 10 full working days. Medical appointments, federal holidays, scheduling conflicts, etc. may affect the length of time required to complete the checkout process. Communication with DPC/RSU-East prior to arrival for demobilization processing is crucial to our coordination with MCI-EAST and II MEF to get Marines and Sailors home to their families as soon as possible. Please contact the Redeployment Cell NLT 30 days prior to return by emailing M_Lejeune_DPC_S-3_Redeployment@usmc.mil or calling 910-451-7940.
REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS:
Report to S-1 during normal working hours (Bldg 313, 1st Floor) to start the demobilization process and arrange billeting. If checking in after normal business hours, report to the DPC/RSU-East OOD at (910) 526-7946.
Upon completion of S-1 check-in, all personnel will immediately check-in with S-3 Redeployment Cell in Bldg 313, Room 201. Redeployment staff will maintain accountability of all demobilization personnel and coordinate the timely completion of the DPC/RSU-East checkout requirements. All personnel will be screened and scheduled for the Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS) as well as a demobilization brief.
UNIFORM OF THE DAY:
Camouflage Utilities.
TRS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
TRS is required for all Reserve Marines on orders over 180 days (MCO 1700.31). It is a 5-day course and consists of VA Benefits briefs and classes from the Department of Labor to prepare Marines for transition. TRS must be completed prior to EAS. There is an option for exemption from the Department of Labor if proof of employment, enrollment in school, or previous attendance of the 5-day course can be provided prior to the commencement of TRS.
The Redeployment Cell will schedule Marines for TRS and will prescreen all paperwork prior to scheduling.
