Inspector-Instructor, 4th Air Naval Gunfire Liason Company Lieutenant Colonel Goode

Lieutenant Colonel Goode received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in 1998. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in December 1998 via the Platoon Leaders Class (Combined). Upon completion of The Basic School, Quantico, Virginia, and the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, U.S. Army Field Artillery School, Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1999, 2nd Lieutenant Goode reported to Battery C, 1st Battalion, and 12th Marines Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.  He served as the Guns Platoon Commander, Fire Direction Officer, Executive Officer and Liaison Officer. He deployed twice with Battery C to Okinawa as part of the Unit Deployment Program. 

Following his tour with 1/12 Captain Goode served as a Gunnery Instructor, Marine Detachment Fort Sill, Oklahoma from June 2003 to May 2006.  Graduating in November 2006 from the Captain’s Career Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Captain Goode was assigned to 10th Marine Regiment in November 2006.  Captain Goode commanded Battery L, 2d Battalion, 10th Marines where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Captain Goode was then assigned as the Operations Officer for 3d Battalion 10th Marines for deployment to Operation Iraqi Freedom.  

In July 2009, Major Goode reported to the United States Army Fort Benning, Georgia for duty as the Marine Exchange Officer 75th Ranger Regiment. While assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment Major Goode deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Upon completion of his tour at Fort Benning Major Goode was assigned as the Executive Officer of 2d Battalion, 10th Marines.  While the Battalion Executive Officer, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Returning from deployment Major Goode served as the Officer In Charge for Georgian Liaison Team 11, deploying to the Republic of Georgia then to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.   

In July 2014, Major Goode was assigned as a student to the Marine Corps Command and Staff College. After completing his studies Major Goode reported to Training Command Quantico, Virginia as the Ground Combat Element Action Officer until May 2016.

Lieutenant Colonel Goode’s personal decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with one gold star, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star and combat distinguishing device, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
