Major Jeffrey E. Wright Jr
Commanding Officer, Support Company, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion
Major Jeff Wright is a native of San Diego, California. He reported to Officer Candidate School in June of 2007. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in December of 2007. In 2009, he graduated from The Basic School and then reported to MP Co, 2D MAW. In 2009, he reported to Fort Leonard Wood to the Military Police Officer Basic Course. After completion of MOS school, he deployed to Iraq with MWSS-271 working as the squadron’s Route Clearance Officer. Upon completion of TAD in 2009, he returned to MP Co serving as the Executive Officer and later as a Platoon Commander. In 2011, then First Lieutenant Wright, left active duty service. In 2012, he reported to PMO Quantico, serving as an Investigations Officer in the IMA. In 2014, he moved to the SMCR, joining the Force Headquarters Group and serving as the Law Enforcement Plans Officer in New Orleans. After serving at FHG for over 3 years, he reported to 4th Law Enforcement Battalion in October 2017. Currently, Major Wright serves as the Commanding Officer, Support Company in Minneapolis, MN. Major Wright’s personal decorations include two Navy Achievement Medals. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science.
