Master Chief Burnett is a native of New Orleans, LA. He graduated from Picayune Memorial High School in 1994 and entered the U. S. Navy in November of 1994. He completed Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, IL and Dental Technician “A” School in San Diego, CA. He became a Hospital Corpsman during the merger in 2005 and graduated from the Naval School of Health Sciences in 2007 as an Independent Duty Corpsman.
His sea assignments include 3D Dental Battalion, Okinawa Japan, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion SEVENTY-FOUR, Gulfport, MS, and Military Sealift Command Central Command, Bahrain.
His deployments include Africa Partnership Station, Ghana and Liberia Africa, from February 2008 to August 2008; Camp Dwyer, Afghanistan from August 2009 to March 2010; Camp Mitchell, Rota Spain from December 2010 to August 2011; and with CORIVRON 11, Jebel Ali, Dubai from May 2012 to December 2012.
His Shore assignments include Naval Dental Center Pearl Harbor, HI 1995-1998; Branch Dental Clinic Pascagoula, MS 1998-2001 and 2004-2006, Naval Construction Group TWO, Gulfport MS 2011-2014 where he served as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Medical Department and ISIC for four Naval Mobile Construction Battalions;
Prior to reporting to 4th MAW Master Chief Burnett’s most recent assignment was at Naval Special Warfare Group FOUR, Stennis Space Center, MS where he was the Leading Chief Petty Officer and Senior Medical Department Representative from September 2016 to July 2019.
Master Chief Burnett holds a Master’s Degree in Science and Management and is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 211).
Master Chief Burnett’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Enlisted Expeditionary Combat Warfare Insignia, Enlisted Seabee Combat Warfare Insignia, and Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Insignia and various other unit & campaign awards.
