Major Chambers is a native of Omaha, NE. He received his undergraduate degree in Graphic Design from the University of Nebraska and his Master’s in Business Administration with a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He entered the United States Marine Corps right after college graduation from the University of Nebraska in December 2002. In April 2003 he attended The Basic School at Camp Barrett, Quantico, VA.
Following The Basic School, he was assigned the 6002 MOS and attended the Aviation Maintenance Officers course in Pensacola, FL. In March 2004, then 2ndLt Chambers reported to his first duty station, MALS 39, Camp Pendleton, CA. During this tour, 2ndLt Chambers served as the Ground Support Equipment/ IMRL Division OIC for Marine Aviation Logistic Squadron 39. In October 2004, 2ndLt Chambers was transferred to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169 who was then currently deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom II.2. 2ndLt Chambers was promoted to First Lieutenant while HMLA-169 was still deployed to Al Asad, Iraq for OIF II.2.
In February 2005, HMLA -169 returned to CONUS and 1stLt Chambers severed as MMCO from February 2005 till February 2007. During that time HMLA-169 deployed back to Iraq in support of OIF 05-07 at Camp Al Taqqadam from March 2006 to October 2006. In February 2007, 1stLt Chambers transferred back to MALS 39 after his O-Level tour was complete and was promoted to Captain in April of 2007.
Capt Chambers, next duty assignment was to Marine Recruit Depot San Diego as a Series Commander. Capt Chambers was assigned to Second Battalion, RTR, MCRDSD. Capt Chambers did 2 cycles with Hotel Company and 1 cycle with Fox Company before going to Special Training Company to serve as a Series Commander and then Executive Officer.
In August of 2010, when it was time for Capt Chambers to rotate back to the fleet, he requested MALS-36 in Okinawa, Japan. He served as the Quality Assurance Officer from August of 2010 to March of 2012. He went on a deployment in support of 2nd Marine Division as the Senior Marine Liaison Officer for the Marine LNO detachment in Manas, Kyrgyzstan from March 2011 to October 2011. After his deployment he returned to Okinawa till it was time to rotate back to the United States.
Capt Chambers left active duty in July of 2013 and joined the Reserves as the Omaha, Nebraska Det OIC for Readiness Support Program-2, MCIRSA, 4th Marine Division. Capt Chambers served as the Det OIC until a realigned of RSP sites at which time he became the Kansas City OIC. In November of 2014 he was promoted to Major. When the Regional Deputy retired Major Chambers was selected to fill a LtCol billet as the RSP-2, Southwest AO Deputy. Major Chambers served in this roll until October 2017. Major Chambers then joined 4th Marine Division as an Inspector in the G-7.
Major Chambers served 2 years in the G-7 and conducted numerous inspections of 4th Marine Division units from coast to coast. Major Chambers tour was highlighted by implementing process improvement techniques to streamline reporting processes and timelines during site inspections.
Major Chambers has two daughters and works as a Non-Attorney Advocate for VA claims and appeals.
