Major Brock reported to Quantico, Virginia for Officer Candidates School in June 2010, and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in March 2011. Following commissioning, he was assigned to The Basic School, where he completed the Basic Officer Course and the Infantry Officer Course.
Upon completing the Infantry Officer Course in September 2012, Major Brock was assigned to Company K, 3d Battalion, 3d Marine Regiment, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. While assigned to Company K, he deployed twice in support of the Unit Deployment Program. Before his first deployment, he was promoted to First Lieutenant. From June to December 2013, he deployed to Camp Schwab, Okinawa as a rifle platoon commander. He deployed again from December 2014 to June 2015 to Camp Schwab, Okinawa as the Company Executive Officer. During the deployment, he was promoted to Captain and received orders to Expeditionary Warfare Training Group - Pacific (EWTGPAC). Upon return from the deployment, Major Brock took command of Company K.
Major Brock reported to EWTGPAC at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, California in September 2015, and was assigned as the Fire Support Coordination Course Course Manager. His collateral duties included Supporting Arms Coordination Center Course Instructor, Marine Air Ground Task Force Fires Course Instructor, Naval Gunfire Liaison Officers Course Instructor, and N73 Expeditionary Fires Division Lead Instructor. In December 2017, Major Brock was selected to attend Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia.
He reported to Expeditionary Warfare School in June 2018 and graduated in May 2019.
Upon graduating EWS, Major Brock reported to 3d Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he took command of Weapons Company in June 2019. As Weapons Company Commander, Major Brock deployed his company to Setermoen, Norway from May to September 2020. Upon return to Camp Lejeune, Major Brock was promoted to his current rank and assumed the duties of Amphibious Raids Branch Officer-in-Charge at II Marine Expeditionary Force, Expeditionary Operations Training Group (EOTG). In November 2021, he was selected to attend Command and Staff College in Quantico, Virginia.
Major Brock reported to Command and Staff College in July 2022 and graduated in June 2023.
In June 2023 Major Brock reported to Bravo Company, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division in Fort Detrick, Maryland where he holds the billet of Inspector-Instructor.
Major Brock's personal awards include the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in lieu of third award) and the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold star in lieu of second award).
