Colonel Elizabeth D Perez
Deputy Commander
COMBAT LOGISTICS REGIMENT 45

Colonel Perez joined the Marine Corps in 1996 and graduated from the Logistics Officer Course in 1998.  On active duty for 12 years, she served as the S-4 Officer for Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 18 and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 16, supporting exercises in Asia and southern California; the MALS’s move from Tustin to Miramar; and the activation of Tactical Aviation Boat SS Curtiss, a proof of concept for aircraft maintenance afloat.  After graduating from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2001, Colonel Perez led cross-functional teams from Marine Corps Systems and Logistics Commands to develop processes for the lifecycle management of equipment.  In 2002, she was selected for a collaborative billet between the Deputy Commandants of Aviation and Installations & Logistics to integrate air and ground logistics processes.   She participated in initiatives that enabled Marines aboard ships to order supplies from the Navy’s system, the evolution from the Force Service Support Group model to Marine Logistics Group, and the transition from a flat-file ordering system to the Oracle-based Global Combat Support System.  

Colonel Perez resigned her commission in 2008 to pursue a career in civilian supply chain management and joined the Reserves in 2012.  As a Reservist, she has served as commander of Beach & Terminal Operations Company A (-), 4th Landing Support Battalion (reorganized into Supply Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 453 during her tour) and Marine Wing Support Squadron 473.  She was mobilized in 2017 to support 8th Marine Regiment (Task Force Southwest) in Operation FREEDOM’S SENTINEL and NATO’s Resolute Support mission, advising Afghan units in Helmand and Nimroz Provinces and later, moving into the task force’s chief of staff billet.  In 2022, she was selected as the director of the Service Component Operational Logistics Augmentation Cell, 4th Marine Logistics Group.  In 2024, she was selected and currently serves as the Senior Reserve Advisor/Deputy Commander of Combat Logistics Regiment 45.

She holds a JD and MS in Management with an emphasis in supply chain management.  Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with two stars, Navy Commendation Medal with two stars, and the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
