Biography

 

Lieutenant Colonel Patrick C. Sullivan
Inspector-Instructor
Intelligence Support Battalion

Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan grew up in Gainesville, FL and graduated from Florida State University in 2003. In 2004, Second Lieutenant Sullivan was commissioned upon graduating from Officer Candidate School and attended The Basic School. After graduating from the Signals Intelligence Officer Course, he served as a Platoon Commander with 3d Radio Battalion. During this assignment, he deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM once and ENDURING FREEDOM-PHILIPPINES twice.

In July 2008, Captain Sullivan reported to Special US Liaison Office in Canberra, Australia to serve as a Liaison Officer and Detachment Officer-in-Charge.  During this duty, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of an Australian Special Operations Task Group. Following this tour, Captain Sullivan attended resident Expeditionary Warfare School and the Marine Air Ground Task Force Intelligence Officer Course.

In September 2011, Captain Sullivan assumed duties as the Assistant Intelligence Officer at 6th Marine Regiment and deployed with Regimental Combat Team-6 to Afghanistan. Following that deployment, in March 2013, he reported to 2d Radio Battalion to serve as a Company Commander.

In May 2014, Captain Sullivan reported to Officer Assignments at Headquarters Marine Corps to serve as the Company Grade Intelligence Officer Monitor. Following this assignment, in August 2016, Major Sullivan attended the US Naval War College where he attained his Master's Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies. After graduating in May 2017, Major Sullivan reported to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit to serve as the Intelligence Officer and deployed aboard the USS Boxer in support of WESTPAC 19.2.

In June 2020, Major Sullivan reported to US Special Operations Command and served as a Branch Chief in the Intelligence Directorate.

In June 2022, Lieutenant Colonel Sullivan assumed duties as the Inspector & Instructor of Intelligence Support Battalion.
