Marine Corps brings replica Vietnam Memorial Wall to New Orleans
Staff Sgt. Thomas F. Stewart, Vietnam War commemoration liaison staff noncommissioned officer with the Office of U.S. Marine Corps Communication, greets members of various military and first-responder veteran motorcycle clubs at the Goldring/Woldenberg Great Lawn in City Park, New Orleans, Aug. 24, 2016. The motorcycle clubs escorted an 80-percent replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington to the park. The Marine Corps brought the wall to New Orleans as part of a commemorative plan to honor and remember the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The wall arrived in conjunction with Marine Forces Reserve’s Centennial celebration, which began with events in New Orleans this week. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Ian Leones/Released)
