Celeb ball dates are so 2011

Reserve Marine Sgt. Kelsey DeSantis and Justin Timberlake, a musician and actor, stand to applaud during a ceremony at the Marine Corps Birthday Ball, Nov. 12, 2011 in Richmond, Va. She was the second Marine to ask a celebrity to the ball with a YouTube video. Timberlake’s “Friends with Benefits” co-star was also asked by a Marine.
