Marines with Company A, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve experience a simulated enemy explosion while inside an amphibian assault vehicle during a mechanized operations course during Integrated Training Exercise 4-15 aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., June 15, 2015. During these exercises, infantry Marines are trained to effectively move in and out of AAVs during combat simulations.
