Marine mortarmen with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment clean the bore of their mortar tube after firing during an indirect fire weapons integration exercise Aug. 15, 2014, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., during exercise Heavy Metal 14. The tube is cleaned after each fire-for-effect mission to ensure no debris entered while firing rapidly.
