Marine Forces Reserve Receives Awards for Outstanding Volunteer Service
Marines with Marine Forces Reserve New Orleans pose for a picture during an award ceremony Dec. 5, 2015 at a volunteer site. The New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity presented an award to Marine volunteers of Marine Forces Reserve in recognition of their outstanding service to the rebirth and revitalization of the city of New Orleans. Between January and Dec. 30, approximately 1,658 Marines volunteered more than 8,226 hours at 189 different volunteer events in the greater New Orleans area.
