Gone but never forgotten
Marine Aircraft Group 49, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, held a memorial ceremony Sept. 18, 2016, at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, La., to honor two fallen pilots from their unit. Maj. Erik A. Boyce and Maj. Jason Grogan were killed July 6, 2016, when the Bell 525 helicopter they were piloting crashed near Arlington, Texas. Grogan and Boyce were both assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, Detachment A, at NAS JRB New Orleans at the time of their deaths.
