FLOTUS and CMFR Attend Toys for Tots Event
Lt. Gen. David G. Bellon, Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, and first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, pass out toys at a Toys for Tots event at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington D.C., Dec. 8, 2020. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program was founded in 1947 by Maj. Bill Hendricks, USMCR. Since 1947, Marine Reserve Centers throughout the country have collected new, unwrapped toys and distributed those toys to less fortunate children during the holiday season. Presently, the program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million children annually. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by LCpl. Ryan Schmid)
