Navajo Nation Marines
U.S. Marines, who are also members of the Navajo Nation, meet to discuss their participation in the National Navajo Code Talkers Day ceremony at the Navajo Code Talker Memorial in Window Rock, Ariz., August 13, 2022. The Marines had never met each other before, but quickly found common ground through their shared military service and Navajo heritage. The Navajo Marines expressed pride, gratitude, and a sense of responsibility to live up to the legacy started by the Navajo Code Talkers. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Leslie Alcaraz)
