Cpl. Dalen P. Reed is a Lawrence, Kansas, native and Reserve Marine with Detachment 1 Supply Company, Combat Logistics Battalion-453, participating in Exercise African Lion 2018 in Morocco, April 17-27. When he isn’t conducting his Marine Corps duties, he is studying for his graduate degree in International Leadership and Education in hopes of spreading good leadership traits on an international scale.

Lance Cpl. Brian Perez is a Bronx, New York, native and Reserve Marine with Service Company, 6th Communication Battalion, Force Headquarters Group, Marine Forces Reserve, participating in Exercise African Lion 2018 in Morocco, April 17-27. Not only does he have his Marine Corps duties to be responsible for, but he’s also an assistant project manager for a local construction company. Between juggling both of his responsibilities he is also a part time student studying business management.

African Mission Network undergoes first trial during African Lion 2018

The African Mission Network is being tested for the first time by the 10 participating countries of command post-exercise portion of African Lion 2018. AMNET is a new innovative network created by the United States that provides secure, interoperable, fast and effective communication between partners of different nations. The participants in the exercise are learning to use AMNET together to achieve effective partnership, liaison, and interoperability.
