Just before the ceremony, announcer Bob Tyek gave credit to the Marine Corps Reserve and its 100 years of faithful service. Today, approximately 500 Reserve Marines are providing fully integrate global operational support to the Fleet and Combatant Commanders. Suzanne Edwards speaks at a memorial service Sept. 18, 2016, at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, La. For her brother Maj. Erik A. Boyce. He was killed July 6, 2016, when the Bell 525 helicopter he was co-piloting with Maj. Jason Grogan crashed near Arlington, Texas.
