Innovative Readiness Training - Louisiana Care

ABOUT

On July 10-24, 2017, the Louisiana Care IRT contingent comprised of National Guard and Reserve assets of the U.S. Armed Forces will deploy to the medically underserved communities of Louisiana to conduct deployment and readiness training for military personnel. Incidental to military readiness training, the Louisiana Care IRT team will provide medical, dental and optometry care to assist local health and municipal authorities in addressing underserved and unmet community health and civic needs. Units will also conduct critical mission training and logistical movement in order to simulate military/civilian humanitarian operations and health care delivery in the time of crisis, conflict or disaster.

Indiana Marine awarded the 2013 Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone Award for Courage and Commitment
Staff Sgt. Alec Haralovich shows his Marines and friends the Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone Award for Courage and Commitment after a ceremony here, May 19, 2013. The Marines assigned to Company E, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, gathered together to congratulate Haralovich for earning the distinction. After the ceremony, Haralovich left promptly to begin a nearly year-long deployment to train foreign forces overseas in the coming months. Haralovich is a reconnaissance Marine from Bloomington, Ind. He is assigned to Company E, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve.
