Operational Support Airlift (OSA)
Located aboard Joint Reserve Base Belle Chasse, Louisiana and Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing's Operational Support Airlift (OSA) aircraft provide critical airlift capabilities in support of Marine Corps operations. These aircraft transport personnel, equipment, and supplies, enabling the Wing to respond quickly and effectively to emerging requirements. As part of the Wing's Marine Transport Squadrons, the mission is to provide logistical support to move personnel and equipment, both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and abroad, in support of Fleet Marine Forces and joint partners. Interested aviators should refer to the Reserve Officer Management Policy and the relevant documents for more information.
MARINE CORPS RESERVE INSTRUCTOR PILOT (MCRIP)
Marine Corps Reserve Instructor Pilot (MCRIP):
Marine Aviation Training Support Group 42 (MATSG-42) provides Marine Corps Reserve Instructor Pilots (MCRIP) to augment and reinforce the active component flight training mission with qualified Instructor Pilots at Marine Corps training sites and across numerous type/model/series of aircraft, in order to sustain required levels of qualified aviators. By integrating highly qualified and experienced winged aviators at CNATRA and FRS/FRD active duty squadrons to train Marine aviators for the challenges of modern combat. The MCRIP program provides a realistic and dynamic training environment for initial Marine Occupational Specialty (MOS) training to fleet aircraft to help them succeed in a rapidly changing operational environment. As part of the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, MCRIPS play a critical role in supporting the training and readiness for the future of Marine Corps Aviation, ensuring that they are prepared to deploy and operate effectively in support of global operations.
