MISSION STATEMENT

To provide the total force with intelligence, communications, supporting arms liaison, civil affairs, military advisors, and law and order capabilities as directed.  Additionally, the FHG provides support to the mobilization and processing of reserve units, individual augments, and all members of the Marine Corps individual ready reserve.

Behind the historic yellow brick façade of the Austin Community College Campus is a sleek modern workspace with massive computer monitors and floor-to-ceiling white boards, dotted with neon sticky notes and scribbled handwriting. Here, during a two-week “coding sprint” from 17 to 28 March, 2025, Marines from the Marine Innovation Unit and the Marine Corps Software Factory worked together to develop new capabilities for deployment across the Marine Corps.

U.S. Marines with Delta Company, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion (4th LEB), Force Headquarters Group, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve, first deployed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in April 2024 to provide security to Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and their assets participating in support of Exercise Native Fury 24. Delta Company’s mission is to provide inner perimeter security for initial staging and logistics areas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of 2nd Distribution Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group (MLG) and to provide security alongside Saudi and Emirati forces throughout the exercise as it progresses from Kingdom Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates.

Eager Lion 24 is a multilateral exercise, with 33 participating nations, hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, designed to exchange military expertise, and improve interoperability among partner nations, and considered the capstone of a broader U.S. military relationship with the Jordanian Armed Forces. Marine Corps Reserve Sgt. Bobby Philips, motor vehicle operator with Deployment Processing Command - Reserve Support Unit East, Force Headquarters Group, was awarded the Columbia-Richland Fire Department Medal of Honor here, Jan. 19, 2024. According to the fire department Medal of Honor award citation, Philips’ courageous actions, braving life-threatening conditions in the line of duty, saved several lives during a three-alarm fire. Philips initially enlisted as an active duty Marine in June 1998, first deploying in 2001 for training exercises in the Western Pacific and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and 2004 - 2005.
