Lieutenant General Rex C. McMillian, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North and Brandon Moreno, the community relations manager for the 49ers, walk down the hallway of Levi’s Stadium where retired jersey numbers are displayed, including number 16 for Joe Montana, Nov. 4, 2016. McMillian was invited to observe a 49ers’ practice session in preparation for Sunday’s “Salute to Service” game against the New Orleans Saints at Levi’s Stadium. The half-time show of Sunday’s game will recognize the Marine Forces Reserve Centennial. Today, approximately 500 Reserve Marines are providing fully integrated operational support to Fleet and Combatant Commanders around the world.
